Weekly Fun Farm Thursday 21st November
November 21 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm£7
Fun Farm is a weekly group for pre-school children (suggested ages 2.5/3 to 5 years old). It is an opportunity for children to visit a real working farm in a safe and controlled environment. Each week they will learn about what’s been happening on the farm and do a seasonal craft. They will get to see and feed the animals, have free playtime in our enclosed play paddock, undercover outdoor play area and Cart Shed. We provide a snack for the children (there is also tea and coffee for the adults!) The group is available for block booking on a term by term basis. Each term will cover some sessions on animals, tractors / machinery (including some live working tractor demonstrations) and farm wildlife/environmental measures. The benefits of seeing the farm on a weekly basis gives the children a real insight into the farming seasons and the where their food comes from. We aim to provide the children with what they want to see so if there is something your child would really like to see, please ask and we will try our best to incorporate it into our programme.
If any women are pregnant they should also be aware of the risks of being around farm animals, in particular lambs and sheep. Whilst we don’t lamb any sheep on site there will be young lambs within the paddocks and women should be aware of the risks involved and make their own decision as whether to attend this event or not.
