Byres Farm’s very own Helen Smith has taken on an important role as a board member for MFR Cash for Kids, a charity dedicated to supporting children and young people affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting illness, and additional needs. With every penny raised in the MFR region staying within local communities, the charity ensures that vital funding reaches those who need it most.
Since joining the board last year, Helen has played a key role in distributing funds across the region, supporting both individuals and organisations. Reflecting on her experience, Helen shared:
“It has been very eye-opening, and I have shed many tears while reading all the applications for funding. It makes me truly appreciate what we have and the health of my family. This is a charity I am passionate about continuing to support, and Byres Farm will focus its charity giving on Cash for Kids.”
